My latest project has been low-light walk-around shots in urban settings, and the Cam-Pod really shines here.  For me, tripods are usually just too cumbersome to move and, worse, conspicuous for getting candid shots of people.  Even with a fairly fast, stabilized lens, I am usually at or below the edge of hand-held.  The Cam-Pod helps get clear shots, so that only the motion of people becomes a concern (and even that can be interesting).  Urban areas tend to be cluttered, so it's pretty rare that I cannot find something to set up on, shoot, and be off again hunting for my next subject.  Similarly, the Cam-Pod would be great for travel, especially when travelling with people that are not photographers who want to keep moving.  And, obviously, things like longer exposures to get water blur or depth-of-field become practical. With a bit of practice (recommended), the Cam-Pod can take on quite a range of shapes very quickly to deal with uneven surfaces and desired camera orientations, and it keeps your SLR off of dirty surfaces that can potentially lead to dust in the camera or lens.  Cam-Pod is a well-built product works really well where support is needed and a tripod is not feasible.

Out of all the beanbags I researched, the cam-pod seemed to have the most flexibility. Having small sections means I can fold it in so many different positions, and when it's not being used it can lay very flat or be rolled-up into a camera bag pocket. Thanks for making such a great product!!

The Cam-Pod is a very useful bean bag for camera support. It's a folding bean bag, and will not take more room in a camera bag than your average camera lens. The fact that it can be folded also gives it the ability to customize the camera angles as well as placing the camera on difficult surfaces.The Cam-Pod now gives me the ability to capture pictures that I under other circumstances would have been impossible to take if I did not bring my tripod. It is a high quality camera bean bag.

I bought two cam-pods several months ago and while on an outing with my children one evening I sat the pod and camera on top of my station wagon to take a photo. The photo turned out fairly good at 10x optical zoom and decided to move on, putting camera into car and off we went. We were almost home when I asked the children "Where's my cam-pod so I can take one more photo?"
Their silence said it all. I'd left it on top of car about 20 km's away!! So as it was an investment for my cameras, I turned around and drove all the way back to find it. Nowhere to be seen where I had used it, so drove back onto the main road and there it was, lying by the side of a busy road, squashed. When I picked it up I was amazed to find only one piece of stitching had broken after obviously being run over by cars or trucks. I brought it home and sewed it up and good as new.
What a great invention as long as people remember to take it home!!!

I just received your Cam-Pod a couple weeks ago and it's great. I used it today for taking macro shots with my fiance's engagement ring. I placed the ring on the
Cam-Pod which made positioning very easy since the surface is so versatile. The black color also made a great contrasting background. Not only can you use this for the camera, but you can also use it for the subject! Thanks for the great product!

I used the Cam-Pod. I also have Bogen's THE POD. The Cam-Pod kicks butt over THE POD, and much more useful, configurable, user-friendly. And, with THE POD, the beans can easily fall out. Go Cam-Pod!

So far the first Cam-Pod I bought has been great. It came into its own on our first ever ski trip at Perisher. It was great to set the camera up on a bough of a tree and take some shots of us in the snow. It was also great for doing some long exposure work. The best thing is that it is so compact and is perfect for my Canon S2 IS.

My Cam-Pod came today and I couldn't be happier with it. This thing is great! I had considered the competing products, but your Cam-Pod looked more useful. Once I got my hands on it today, I could tell it provided even more stability than my initial impression based on the online photos I had seen. Cam-Pod is a superb product, and I wish I'd had one last year when I went to Australia on holiday.

The birthday gift to my good friend Peter went down a treat...I mean, he was absolutely DELIGHTED AND THRILLED  to receive one of these, and told me how, in the past, he's always had to use a jumper or bit of debris lying around for the purpose, but now he will be very happy to use his CAM-POD.  He loves the way it folds, and the size, and says it will be easy to carry with his camera where-ever he goes.
